Gradients

Afternoon, everyone.

I was wondering how to convert the measurement of gradients. In Trainz, they're measured by the US standard, i.e. as a 2.15% gradient, but how would i convert this into what is used in the UK, e.g. 1 in 100?

Regards,

Hi Chris S. Divide 100 by the %. Your 2.15% gives a figure of 46.51163. This is a gradient of 1 in 46.5.

Well, i do enough arithmetic during my day, so i'll bookmark that site. I think i've had enough of angles and protractors for a while. :D

Nice find, Innis! That will definitely help.
