Database connection errors

Hello all,

A few days ago the HDD from my old laptop (the one that had Trainz 12 on it) got the death sentence and I more than likely lost everything on it. However, I got the entire N3V folder from a different laptop that Trainz was installed on and I uploaded it to the cloud (Google Drive, to be precise) and essentially saved at least some of my content. However, whenever I try to run Trainz, I get a "Cannot connect to Asset Database, computer restart recommended" error from the launcher and I have no idea how to fix it. I restarted my laptop and that didn't work so I'm at a loss. There is one last thing I want to try (moving ALL the files to the proper place: Program Files (x86)) but in case that doesn't work I was curious whether I had any other options.

Have a look in <trainz install folder>/Bin/Jetlog.txt when Trainz is not running - there may be a clue in there as to why it's not loading.

You are attempting to run Trainz via the Cloud connection?

This won't work...Period.
