You railfan with what vehicle?

Pickup trucks is the best thing to use while railfanning.

I drive a '99 Dodge Ram Dark Green color V6 engine,Auto Transmission,300 hp, but it's a GAS GUZZLER!!!!

On the good note - I use this baby to get to those steep hills, especially since it has 4WD(4 wheel drive)

Gas Guzzler = only 14 MPG

1990 Chevy Van 20 MarkIII conversion.
Best way to railfan, plenty of room for cameras and stuff.
The most flexible way to get around is a KTM 250 SX Dirtbike. Why? Because around here getting to every point along the rails isn't easy. So I can access the tight spots. When I get the bike.

1991 Mercury Grand Marquis--comfy with lots of room to haul stuff.

Only thing that'd make it better would be larger windows, but heck, can't ask for everything.

I use a 1994 Honda Accord. Old but has a lot of miles left in it though.

2007 Honda Element, or a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Both are quite comfortable and have a pretty good pickup for getting up steep hills.
