YARN Roads

could anyone tell me what ever happened to that famous road almost everyone uses called YARN? I tried looking it up on the DLS and nothing, was the name changed or taken off the DLS? Ive been trying to find realistic US roads for eon's and now i can not find it. Not in CMP or the DLS, well CMP's not helping much.

YARN deffinitely still on the DLS. For TRS 09 and higher though use the YARNish revisions, also on the DLS. I have some YARNish revisions with lower speed limits, but only on a few assets. Your problem might be that the DLS seems to be returning a null result on pretty much any search today....

Look for author Maddy Usher (Maddy25). She made the originals. There are also YARNish roads made by someone else. I can't remember who at the moment. This creator expanded Maddy's nice assets.

Really John! You surprise me.....

Maybe I'm the one having a brain fart, but I fail to see what's wrong with John's post. Streadway (the creator that John was thinking of) did indeed expand Maddy's YARN system with updates to the originals plus new additions to the system.

Zachary.

I've never met Maddy in person, so I can't judge whether her 'assets' have 'expanded' or not, but she may not appreciate the direction this thread has taken. I'm certain she has fine 'assets', and we all expand as we age anyway!:hehe:

Streadway and Dermmy expanded the assets and Streadway has made a complete new road system which suits YARN as well. Treadway

I believe some are built in to TS2012 as I've been using them on my Hood River route. They were the only road type I could find which didn't cover over the rails at level crossings.

I think I may have been misunderstood by John, and definitely by Zachary. My comment was but a feeble attempt at schoolboy humour which was probably best left alone. Ed, as always, was right on the money so I can't even blame the cross-culture gulf which wrecks many attempts at Internet humor....

That's the first thing I thought of Andy, probably because I had an old girlfriend that "Life rafted" soon after we parted ways....(think about it)...;)
