outstanding,what is the size of the yard because I was thinking of making a big one on my Tidewater western steam railroad!;)

and to UP's question... i thinks its like 4 or 7 boards long and 3 wide... Its not done my no means i still got a lot of detail to add to it... its one of 4 yards i have planned it next one is gonna be better lol
 
CRackhead, two things.

1), just for a screenshot tip, hit ctrl+h to get rid of the switch arrows.

2), is this thread just for you or can others, like myself, post shots here?

Nice CRackhead, nice overhead view via the "C40".

But, I have another tip for ya:hehe:


When texturing on a map, hold either the [ key or the ] key. This spins the compass on the texture bar round and round so it doesnt look as uniform as evident in your overhead pictures.


Just tryin to help a fellow route builder out.:wave:

next yard im adding is Norfolk Southern's Satellite Yard in Charlotte NC well im going to attempt to make a copy of the yard lol

Hey, It took me WAAAYYYY to long to learn the tips Iv given here:hehe: .

Just tryin to make it easier for someone else. After all, the [ ] trick and learning the AFTER I had made a large part of the San Owens map is the reason I have basicly killed the project.

Yah that part does suck... im at the half way point on mine and now i gotta go back and redo the textures LOL.. btw that lil tip makes a diff in the look of the ground .. thanks again
 
Yea, It does make HUGE diference.

Id post pictures showing it from my routes, but that would be off topic:hehe: .


Although not realy a "Yard", Central does have three tracks. A passenger sidding, the mainline, and a frieght sidding. Not far from the Station is also a spur, so it kinda counts.

Railfanning the location mentioned...
