WRONG SIDE OF THE TRACKS

Hi Guys,

I'm currently laying a 4 track (each laid individually) section of a layout but during trials to see if everything worked I noticed that the loco would NOT go down the correct tracks...I have checked to see the direction the track was laid (two tracks each way) and they are correct....there are plenty of places to change track but it insists on staying on the "wrong side of the tracks"

I am also frustrated by vanishing buildings, I am setting them in their positions and all is ok but I change perspective and the building vanishes, going back to the original perspective it returns.

Any ideas any one????

Thanks

P

Hi,
When you are in the tab in surveyor which you use to lay track, there is, up the top of that tab, three buttons. The first is track, which you are in, the middle one is Track Objects, which is signals etc. and the third, the one on the right, is Trackmark mode. In this area of the tab, you see 4 objects in the list, scroll to 'Track Direction Marker' (its yellow, and shaped like a triangle) Put this on each track, pointing the direction you want the train to travel.
Hope this helps, and I think it will,
Mitch

Bends

If the track is on a slight bend then a loco will take the shortest route unless prevented from doing so. I found this quite annoying but as explained in the post above, it is quite easily rectified.
And also rather annoying to have to plonk those yellow markers all over the place - but needs must....
