windows 8.1 preview coming june 26th

just a heads up for anyone that still hasn't made the jump to windows 8 yet , a release preview that will be free to windows 8 users will be available on the 26th of june. it is confirmed the start menu will be returning but what customization we get with this has yet to be determined. here is a link for anyone that is interested.

What I liked about Vista and Windows7 was that I was in control of my PC, and its screen ... With Widows8 apps are shoved at you, right in your face ... How rude ! When am I going to use all the apps that are slathered all over the screen, like Netflix ... Never ! Its no onder the creator of Windows8 got fired ... as it is a bloated start screen of nonsencical apps that you never needed in the first place ... and if I did want Netflix, I would go get the app myself, instead of having it shoved right in my face.

I can get to "My Computer" and my icon desktop right away ... However with Windows8 you have to exit the app start screen, and search for your icon desktop.

Mr Fancy Schmancy Pants always wants to screw with working things ... and mess them up ... to have all kinds of perty colors ... Blah Windows8 !

ya he quit. its funny you brought up netflix, i actually use the app in windows 8, i prefer it over watching it from the desktop, windows 8 is sadly starting to grow on me lol.

Thanks for the link, interesting read. I have no plans of moving from Windows 7 for the foreseeable future but it's good to keep informed if and when that time comes.

Interesting --- I am still using windows 7 althought I bought the upgrades months ago, etc ... I know Microsoft do these updates, etc etc .... so will sit back and wait a bit longer before updating windows 7 --
