Hello i have "Railroad Simulator 2004" the serial key isnt working i got it a long time ago but still shouldnt the serial key still work?? Or maybe im not putting the right key in? Please tell me what im doing wrong if you know and where is the serial key is .(wouldnt it be on a little white paper inside the case ?)

Usually, its on the back of the manual or on a sticker. If you registered it, it should be in your planet auran profile as well. For best results, type the key exactly as it appears.

it was a gift from a friend and theres a sticker yes but i keep writting it how it says but it doesnt work

Did you register it the first time you used it.
If you did you will need to use the same name as you did back then.

Does your serial number have a hyphen after each fourth character, for example, xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx? If not add the hyphen after each fourth character as shown. I seem to recall that one of the 2004 distributors omitted the hyphens.

You also need to remember your original username and password. Usernames and passwords are critical.

Is it a second hand disk, previously owed, and previously registered by someone else ? You will need their password and username, or you can't download.

Is it an issue with registering it with Planet Auran or just entering it in the installation process....?

Mine is on the back cover of the manual. Is this the first time that it's been installed or the first time that you are trying to register it with Auran? We need a little more info.

Just a thought, all letters must be entered as upper case, just hit the caps lock before putting it in

If it's got "TRS" in front, leave that out. Mine has six groups each containing four characters. Be careful not to confuse similar letters and digits (oh's and zero's, el's and one's, etc).

Thank you all for posting but i dont have i registered its on a disk. But i dont want to register because i dont want it online or do i still have to register?( im new to all this ) and i never even got to a screen that asked me for a username or password. So im trying to install it.

The serial code isnt in/on the manual. This is mostly the problem..where woud it be?

Usually it's printed on a sticker which is stuck on the case.
