Why can't I post screenshots.

Hello again. I have been trying to post screenshots on here but it comes up with a red X. I know I have posted this question before but people never help me.

This is what I noticed at the bottom of the page.
You may post new threads (BB code is on)
You may post replies (Smilies are on)
You may not post attachments (IMG code is on)
You may edit your posts (Video code is on)
HTML code is Off
Does this have anything to do with why I can't post screenshots?

No. The forum doesn't allow people to attach files (images, etc.) directly to a post. You need to upload your screenshot(s) to an image hosting website and then copy and paste the proper code for the image from the website into your post.

Try this: Go to http://hostthenpost.org/ and upload your image(s) there. When uploading has finished, you will see a "Forum code" box. Copy its contents and paste them into your post where you want the image to display.

Regards,

Zachary.

No it does not.
Take a screenshot and size it accordingly (800 x 600) for all the forums save for screenshots forum, where it is acceptable to be larger. Name it something and save it somewhere on your PC.
Go to an image hosting website, I use Host then Post. Upload your saved image there. Copy the code for the hosted image, I choose the top one at HTP.
Start a new thread or reply to this one, choose the Insert Image icon above in the quick reply tool bar. Paste the code in the little window that opens and choose "ok" or "Save" or whatever. It should appear in your reply.

You have to host your screenshots elsewhere and then provide an 'image' link to the files. The forum does not store the image. Check with your ISP, there may be storage space there that you can use. There are other hosting services, I never use them so I can't help you more. Signatures work in a similar way, we host them somewhere and the link we provide allows the forum to display the image.

LOL! I guess that's what happens when these type threads start: everyone opens it and starts replying right away. :hehe: Though I actually waited a minute or two (or three, etc.) before replying. :o

Better too much help than not enough. By the time I finished composing you had already answered, but I managed to edit before Peter chimed in...
