Who wants to be a millionaire and/or Jeopardy: TRAINZ VERSION

Hmm... Being a question from a part of the railway world that probably isn't as familiar for many of you, I guess it could be worth some $300.000?

In your case, I am sorry to say that the answer is not correct, and you are left with only 10.000  .

I have never heard of the movie in your question, and I don't really understand the concept of loco numbering, so if I were to answer your question, that would be a wild guess, so I will leave the chance for someone else :).

If you look up the movie on the internet, and find a site about it, go to a section about little-known facts, and the answer should be there. If you have a spare 1 and 1/2 hours, I suggest you watch it on youtube, and search for Thunderbolt on the DLS. You will find a small red loco. That is the Thunderbolt.

That was a tough one, it seems the train number is not the first thing they write in the movie reviews :hehe: . However, I finally found something. It seems the "Lion", as it was called, was the 1401, but they also used 1450 as a standin during filming. But I guess that makes my final answer:

4. 1401

Sorry, incorrect. I will give you 10.000 points for trying, though.

I will not reveal the answer, but 1401 was the main loco they used at the start of the film. Lion does not have a number. The 14xx is a small GWR 0-4-2 tank locomotive, not Lion. In the scene where the loco is being driven on the street, the loco is one built on a truck chassis. The number of that loco is the one I want.

Sorry, that is not correct either :).

I didn't think this would be that hard, maybe it should have been a half a million dollar question... Anyways, only two alternatives left ;).
