i found this link in content manager while having a look at some items i had downloaded from dls .. http://www.justkiwis.com/html/trainz_stuff.html

and if anyone had used it as the link now goes to a FOR SALE page

My best guess... The site was owned by the creator of the asset you found the link on. You could consider contacting that person.

A quick look on the Wayback Machine shows the last snapshot for that page was 2008, and there really wasn't much on it. The owner let the domain lapse and now it's owned by cybersquatters, which is why you're seeing the For Sale sign.
