I guess the White Pass and Yukon is selling some locomotives? Unless its a (poorly though out) scam? Not sure, but still interesting.

The White Pass is indeed selling locomotives. The new 6 axle units they got are doing well enough that the railroad now has a surplus of power. Several of the ALCos and some of the GE shovel nose units are being sold off, with a few being retained for various duties.

I sure wish someone could bring some of that over here and restore the tourist train on the INPR route up the Payette River canyon from Horseshoe Bend to Cascade, Idaho.
