the dashed lines means your missing the track... and the grid means your missing textures... go into cmp and find the route. right click-> veiw dependencies.then close out of that window andright click -> download

Avery-Drexel is listed as a faulty dependencies I right clicked and view Depndencies is grayed out. I tried to download but nothing happened.

quick question; are you running this on a PC or a Mac? Avery-Drexel is built-in and therefore shouldn't be missing anything.

Co into ContentManager and run an extended database repair. That fixes lots of errors.

If you still have missing dependencies, do a validation of all faulty assets: in the search box, leave the search box blank but add the filter Faulty = True and Installed (or BuiltIn) = True. Select one of the assets, hit CTRL-A to highlight everything, right click an asset and select View Errors and Warnings.

Both procedures can take a long time to complete.

White Dashed Lines instead of track

The game is working as of now. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled three times over the last few days. The 3rd time was the charm and so far it's working.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I got these same whie lines not too long back and not for track problems. Literally nearly 40 miles of grass embankments had gone replaced by them. Fortunately someone came on the forum and gave me a tip which worked and I could then breathe a sight of relief!

What was the tip?
My tip of the day "Be patient while loading trainz". It can take a long ime.
