Which version of Trainz to obtain

It will only be any good to me if I have access to the Australian content:)

TS12 has no Aussie content built in. Not even the QR PB15 and 2100 class.

Some of the TS2010 built-in stuff may be on the DLS for TS12 users, but if you want Aussie content built in get TS2010.

A note regarding the Download Station though - it requires that a valid serial number is present in the Planet Auran profile of the user that is trying to access it.

You should be OK then - bear in mind though that you will manually need to register your serial number (to do this, click Planet Auran above, followed by Serial Number, then fill in the form)

TS12 without any doubt or hesitation

My humble opinion is do not waist any time on ts2010 and go for TS12 right away in due time you will for sure get a geforce and ssd disc and the results than are stunning. I talk from a lot of experience on almost all versions exvept TC which not made sense for me anyway.
My results proof TS12 is the way to and soon TS14.

good luck

Roy;)

Hi all, so its almost a year since I posted my question and I never did do anything about upgrading, lol.
I just got an email offer for simulator central 75% of regular price for TS12, so I may as well buy a copy seeing that its around $10.
I'm also looking at getting the TS2010 Engineers edition Boxed Edition version.
Has much of the older content been upgraded so it will be compatible on the newer versions?
I'm interested in the Australian content, is there much of this available for the newer versions?
Can I have two versions of TS installed on the one computer?
Thanks and look forward to your replies.

There's a very good reason for the sale price. I succumbed and now the box lies with the rest of my old games. 2010 delivers it all, esp when sp'ed to max.
