Which to buy?

Hey everyone!

Recently my Father told me he would buy Trainz 12 for me, but Ive heard it isnt the best for older content.

So...Trainz 09 or Trainz 10?

TS2010. It has a "compatibility mode" that allows older, broken content to run, as long as you don't apply the multiplayer patch.

Not the Multiplayer patch, That ruins the only reason Im getting this inted of TS12.

The draw distance view is much better in 2012, if it is a criteria for you.

No not the multiplayer patch. You will lose compatibility with older assets if you do. The draw distance in TRS2010 is 5,000 meters. More than adequate if your computer can handle it.

I installed the Multiplayer patches. It's not so bad if you know how to edit configs correctly to fix errors, and how to deal with missing textures.

I am, however, still learning.

If you change your mind and want to get Multiplayer for a bit of extra fun, just learn how to fix your content to work in Native mode first.

So far, TS2010 has been the best trainz game yet. Well, it is now that I imported and fixed the TC3 content in it!
