Hi,
As a Workaround, can you not just clone all the locomotives you use most, and in the clone, make a no sound sound file for the bell and just give it a name of No Bell in the naming of the engine?
Not the most perfect way, but if the bell sounding is an big issue and takes away the fun, at least this way for not to much work, it can possible be more fun driving again?
At least till the day N3V has fixed the bell issue.

Even easier...just don't use the Bell if it bothers you that much...I suspect though that some folks would rather complain than make any effort to resolve such a simple issue on their own. (by resolve, I mean either a "no bell" version, or just don't use the bell).
