Where can I retrieve my T12 registration info?

For some unknown reason, my Trainz 2012 settings have lost my registration key and log-on information from settings. I don't know why since it was working yesterday and nothing else happened that could have effected it that I am aware of. It won't allow me to open either Trainz or Content Manager. I presume there is a place where I can retrieve this information?

Thanks.

It's really strange - it's treating it like a new installation. My content appears to all be there, but it makes me wonder why it did that!

Everything seems to work fine now, fortunately. It did rebuild the assets database, so what you say makes sense. I'm just puzzled as to what caused certain files to disappear - I had no problems with either Trainz nor my computer in general. Must be some Gremlinz!

Indeed. That's happened to me once or twice but it's usually if either the power goes off, or the game quits unexpectedly.

Now this is getting ridiculous. Content Manager isn't logging me in even though I have the correct name and password - I never changed it - under my settings and my account on Planet Auran is also correct. I presume this has something to do with the glitch above. Oh, and as if to give me another reason to ditch Trainz for Train Simulator, all my customized (reskinned) locomotives have disappeared out of T12. The routes are there, but the engines are gone. All I can say is I hope they get their act together with this "new era" stuff, because I am very close to chucking the whole damn thing. I spend more time troubleshooting problems with the game than enjoying it. :n:

Tried rebooting the computer, changing my password on Planet Auran - CM still ain't working. Correct user ID shows up correct under the CM settings too.

If it thinks it's a new install it may just be validating, check if TrainzUtil is running, if it is wait until it finishes, may take a while.

Hi Malc,

How would I tell if it's running? There's no TrainzUtil in my Windows Task Manager list of processes while I have CM open. I re-entered my log-in and it says "Please wait, applying filters" on the bottom. I'm not sure what filters it means, but I am just letting it run in the background and see what it does. By the way, Trainz itself runs, but I am missing my reskinned locos - not a huge deal since I have the locally as back-ups and the two I may have lost I wanted to re-do anyway. The routes (fortunately) are all showing up in both Trainz and CM. The whole thing is frustrating!

Thanks.

Launcher > Options > Developer > tick show database process Windows, Save.
Then TadDaemon and TrainzUtil will show on the taskbar when active, click on them to see what's going on, if it's not a validating problem, it might at least give you a clue as to what's happening.

Actually being stuck on applying filters is often to do with Validation.

I did what you said, Malc, and CM worked first time. I'm no sure if it was coincidence or what, but it gets me in now. I also figured out what happened to my reskins - they reverted back to the original names. So they're still there as a clone of whatever the original was called!

Always something with this thing....
