Whats with all these locos?

From just under the linked image,
"Remarks: the dead line in Colton is about 150 locos long - some SD40-2's or C40-8's but also a lot of newer SD70M's are sidelined due to lack of work ..."

All you have to do is learn to see all of the page :hehe: :p

When the recession finishes they will be back in action.

Cheers David

You avoided recession in Aussie didn't you!?

Is the US still in recession? We (UK) got out around Christmas

As was just posted, when the work becomes available again, the newer trains (not at the end of their working lifetime) will disappear from the "dead lines" right across the country and go back into service.

Phil

:o :o :o Yeah, but only just, thanks mainly to the exports remaining strong and a small credit to the Government for dishing out money at the right time, so the local small business's managed to stay on their feet.

Cheers David

Wonderfull USA is still in our recesion. That dead line reminds me of one here in Ft.Worth Texas at the old T&P yard near the infamous tower 55. The dead line here is more older than newer units as shown there. I counted at least 10 tunnel motors in the line up here. Dont know how many units exactly, but it is a HUGE line.
