What's happening to my content?

Learning... slowly!
Hi,

I've been downloading content from the download station. Not only does that content not work (it's there in the list, but highlighted in red/pink and doesn't work), but it's now causing some of the original content not to work- for example, the BR MK1 Passenger & MK2 consists in the consist list in surveyor mode.

What's going on? I'm using the mac version btw.

Cheers

If a car or locomotive used in a consist goes faulty or missing, the consist will stop working.

As to why you've got faulty assets, I can't say, but a database rebuild may fix it.

Hello Alexl102, Sorry about the formal greeting. I'm wondering. Did you ever get a satisfactory answer to your query about Red and Pink contents? I, too, have the same problem. It doesn't matter which locomotive I try to download, it ALWAYS finishes up in the contents list either RED or PINK - and there's nothing I can do about it. I have tried extensive repairs to the database, but it doesn't do anything at all. I seems a shame to me, that such items are allowed to be listed, because the trouble they cause is horrendous. I ought to tell you that I am over eighty and a complete nozzer when it comes to computers.
Yours aye

Peter,

TS12 can sometimes take a little bit of time to close down after you've exited from the program its self. If you turn off or restart your computer before the program has finished cleaning up its bits and pieces, this can cause database corruption.
Try enabling the database processes windows in the options screen and wait for them to close before you shutdown your computer.

When you've finished running a database repair, check for faulty content. This list isn't usually faulty, but the result of opening and closing built-in items and the database not refreshing after it's been repaired. If there are any items in the list, highlight the items and view errors. This will remove the faux bad content, and may remove your pink-items from your database. If there are any items left, these really are the faulty ones that need repairs.
