what the max speed in notch 1 ????

Hi there,

We can not give you an answer, there are far too many variables.
What horse power is the motor? Is the Loco travelling uphill or downhill?
Is there a head wind?
Even using the same Loco if the conditions are different you would get a different top speed.

still wouldn't be possible to answer, i mean there are theoretical answers, but this could never really be achieved.

you can figure it out. take the weight of the locomotive, and find out how much it takes to accelerate that mass. look at the power curves for that engine, and where that number is met you have you max speed.
