What Should I do?

Are you installing the beta?

First of all, copy your existing install to a safe place.
Copy your program to another location and rename the folder TRS-PLUS-BETA, or something similar so you know it's different than your working installation.

Open that folder and start TRS-Plus.
Put in your username and password and all that in your settings and restart as required.
Click on Trainz settings on the Launcher.
Click on the Install tab to get you back to this screen.

Instead of choosing Trainz Plus, you need to choose Plus-Beta
Click on Change Stream...
This will give you the opportunity to change which download stream to use. Be careful with the next step. You need to choose the correct TRS-Plus installation. Check the folder name and location. This is important!

The patch installer will run and it may require a few patches to bring it up-to-date.

When completed, start Trainz-Plus. It may appear not to be doing anything.
Click on the Developer menu item at the top of the Launcher.
Click on Show Client Logs.

You'll see a DBR running. Let it finish and validate your installation prior to running Trainz.

I may have skipped a step here. I did this from memory away from my Trainzing computer where I could verify steps.

wait so then do I have to keep that one which I have there for my trainz content and put TRS-PLUS-BETA to start running the stuff?

If you want to experiment with Trainz Plus Beta, you don’t want to use your current content data folder. You will want to run Beta on a copy of your data folder in case the Beta app messes up stuff.
