That's what you get for living in the "windy" city.:hehe: I would think youd be warmer with the large, relatively warm lake right there. Oh well, I guess there is some advantage to living in "the Northwoods" the wind is lower here.

It's only "windy" here because so many people are lactose intolerant, but continue to consume that damn Wisconsin cheese!

We are enjoying clear skies and sunshine up here in Bangor, Maine after getting 42" of snow in December!

Hay Folks. It's 24 F. here in Hickory N.C. Here it only last about 2 days and warms back up to around 50 or so and even 60 on some days. Give me the south any day. When It snows, which isn't often, we make it a holiday and call school off and everybody has a good time especially the kids who go out on the hills and slide down the hill with anything they can get such as trash can lids, plastic and such. It's not worth paying thousands of dollars for snow removal equipment for one or two snows a year.

Four stinking degrees in Chicago. Eight below zero with wind chill. Fahrenheit. Long Underwear on.

Predicted to be in the fifties by this weekend.....Bermuda Shorts, Sandals, and Black Socks ready to go!:hehe:

Only 1 long underwear on, Ed?

I got 3 pares of sweat pants, and 2 sweaters on!!:hehe:

Supposed to be quite nice here in San Diego today, mid 70's, right now 60. I visit Northern Michigan every year in July- August, the area is truly God's country at that time.
Remember, "You gotta' have rain to have rainbows" !

Summer will be there "Soon tm" ?

Got you all beat right now. It is -23C or -9F for you people south of us. I am originally from farther north so find Ottawa relatively warm in winter.

Now that is BBBBRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but this morning awaiting for the bus it was -25c with a wind chill that took it down to -30c. Mind you I have noticed that the Ottawa buses usually run on time or at least to the nearest minute.

Though not the weirdest thread I've seen it certainly is good enough for my 2 cents:hehe:

Schwabenheim am der Selz is hovering in and out of freezing, usually at only a degree above or below (in Centigrade). It is colder higher up though, living in The Pit of Despair (the name I gave this valley) it is a bit warmer, up in Wiesbaden, or worse, Bad Schwalbach, it can get to the point where you wish you were wearing two pairs of pants. Mind you this is not very comfortable and if you don't do it right, you'll wind up looking like an idiot.

I've seen barely any snow, but since my heater died a few days ago I've been having to keep a fire going in the stove to keep warm. And I won't be getting a new furnace till Monday (@#$%^&*! German gas company!). I think therefore that it is plenty cold enough, even with a few kitties.

28 Degrees here in South Tampa last night. What's the deal with that, last weekend I'm out boating in the gulf, last night I was trying to keep from freezing to death.... Luckily our 5 days of winter are near over :)

The highs for the next few days here in Colorado are supposed to be in the 40s to low 50s, hopefully.

It only gets bitter cold here when there's a lot of snow on the ground, so things generally tend to suck after blizzards...I remember last year, when we got the double blizzards in December (two huge blizzards within a week of each other) there was snow on the ground well into March, and you can bet it never got above maybe 20*F that whole time

My theory is that once you get down to about +20*F and colder, the temperature itself doesn't matter so much as the windchill. If it's perfectly still outside I feel very little difference between, say, zero and 15 degrees.

28 degrees is still bad for the Tampa Bay area! It's Florida-- The sunshine state. Not Florida, The Freeze Your butt of in the cold wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops!!!!! I wasn't expecting it-- 28 Degrees!!! Thats as bad as tenesseeEDIT-- During the transition from Summer-Fall-Winter!

Cheers!
I'll go away and turn on the fireplace and drink hot choco while driving a class 25 that sparky123456 made and enjoy the snow!!!

Anyaways! I enjoy the snow on trainz. Not in my real life!!!! BBNBBBBBBRERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

I'll bet there's frost on your oranges today! :hehe:
