What is a group?

OK but what are the benefits?

Thanks John

None for the casual user or new looking for info, as information will become fragmented in three different places Forum, Blogs and Groups. Heading towards the social networking model I fear or as I call it Social Networking Muddle. OK for those who know where to look.

Oh well, whatever. I find a group called Blenderheads a little stigmatizing. :hehe:
But what's in a name, so I became a member as well John.
I too have no idea what's its benefits are or what discussion to start. Can there be more then one for instance? No idea...
In the faq I saw something about articles, now that could be interesting, but it seems that one isn't available to just members.
Remains a blog option. Hmm, I've allways found that more ego tripping then anything else actually. ;)

Greetings from nighttime Amsterdam,

Jan

The only logic I can see in having groups would be to seperate out which members have which versions of Trainz. (A member, for example could be part of the Trainz 12 group, Trainz 2006 group and UTC group.)

Though, if this is the case, I'd rather have the old method of having the station stops above as it makes it SOOOOO much easier to work out which version of Trainz people have registered and as such, give them better tech support (Away evil hackers, away! I shall tie you to the tracks in front of a high speed bullet train!)

I doubt albums will be available due to the excessive bandwidth required for storing images, the direct image upload that was apparently available has already been disabled, probably for that reason.
