what is a cdp

If you download a cdp isn't it a session that you can drive? How do you get them to work??

A .cdp isn't necessarily a session. All content created for trainz is compliled into a .cdp file for installation into trainz. Everything that you see on the DLS was uploaded as a .cdp. If you download from the DLS, it should be automatically installed into Trainz. Depending on the version of Trainz that you have, the process is different.

When you save an asset as a CDP...it is a file that can be saved to a memory stick, external hard drive, CD disk, R-DVD or RW-DVD for permanent storage elsewhere. Routes and anything else can be saved as a CDP...and installed easily on a second PC. If I were to send you my route....it would be a CDP file (567MB).
