What do you think would happen if you divided by 0.

depends on the number system

Wait are we talking the real world or in TRAINZ. if you divide by 0 in the real world your Wife will "Stop Responding"!

Anything divided by 0 yields infinity. Computer-wise you get an error of some sort (usually some variation of "divide by zero error"). In the real world you get told your an idiot.

Infinity is the largest of all possible numbers yet it has no real value. 2 times infinity equals infinity (which seems wrong but mathematically is correct). Infinity is a concept not an absolute value.

The smallest possible number greater then zero is 1 divided by infinity.

The largest possible number that isn't infinity is infinity minus 1 divided by infinity.

And yes - I have been told I'm an idiot (and often too, lol).

I can get to 6.480740698407860230965967436088

Windows Vista calculator takes it to thirty decimal places, but MS Excel clips it to nine.

I suspect it could be one of those never ending numbers.

Lets try statistics:

1) You are going to construct a 90% confidence interval for a population mean based on a sample size 16. What is the critical value of t you will use in constructing this interval?

2) You are going to create a 95% confidence interval for a population proportion and want the margin of error to be more than 0.05. Population proportion remains a constant 0.7. What is the minimum size random sample you need to construct this interval?

These two were from review homework a couple of weeks ago. Our AP Statistics Exam is May 11. So far I've mantained a solid B in the class.
