.. when you're interested in dutch railway technics plus the variation of the (inter)national rolling stock in the Netherlands, i will highly recommend you to see those livestreams by ProRail ..

ProRail :
".. Amsterdam is the gateway to Europe. It is one of the busiest stations in the Netherlands with 200,000 passengers every day. This number will continue to rise to approximately 275,000 in 2030. For this reason, the station needs to be thoroughly renovated.

We will be working on and around Amsterdam Centraal for at least another five years. The monumental station from 1889 is being prepared for a future with more passengers and more trains. On a special website we explain what we are going to do inside and outside.

The railway bridges at the Oostertoegang have reached the end of their service life. Of the five bridges, one has already been replaced. In this phase, the replacement of the next bridge will start. The foundation piles for the eastern and western abutment of the fourth railway bridge are being placed over the Oostertoegang and the sheet piles, on which the bridge will later rest.

Excavating the track bed
The sand under the track bed and the platform needs to be excavated. This will allow us to widen the eastern passenger tunnel and build the underground bicycle shed under the station at a later stage. The structures will therefore be made self-supporting: no longer resting on sand, but on replacement structures.

At the Dijksgracht free crossing, the two central tracks will be relocated and connected to the first section of the new fly-over. This is an important step in order to continue working on the grade-separated crossing later on. This crossing ensures that trains from different directions no longer hinder each other .."
