Wabash "Follow The Flag" - Large photos

Those B units are looking good, and I didn't know that the Pennsy owned Wabash. That's a jaw dropper for me. Even though Wabash never owned SD-series diesels, they are still very pretty.

I don't want to nag, but would it be possible to (eventually) do a Wabash F-unit like the second one in that real pic you posted? I fell in love with the scheme years ago, and the one at Monticello looks great. I'd kill for one.

Of course, it's your models, i just wondered if you'd thought if it.

Thanks! I've been thinking about skinning a couple of Ben Neals SD16's he has just to have a couple low nose units. First though I need to get some of the other stuff completed. :)

It's alright.:) Here are three shots of stuff I'm working on besides the GP7 and 9's. The two A units are going to take some time. I have a real problem with curves but I'm still learning differnt things every time I'm able to sit down and work on things.

This thing I have been working on for months! I'm talking one pixel at a time just to get where I am. The two red circles is my last two trouble spots. On the nose it's just getting the point to look right. The one up at the cab windows I don't know. I've tried about everything I know to correct it.

After doing the other Wabash B units this thing took me about a hour to get to this point.

This one is the nose problem and that top strip.

Another note. I used to volunteer at the Monticello Railway Museum back in the early 90's. The first engine I ever rode in ever was Wabash 1189 there at the museum. That's how I came up with my nickname. :D

8 Wabash F7B units are now done (#600-607)!

Now if I can just get past my nose problem on the A units there will be some of them.

That top strip on the nose is giving me fits!!

My best bet is to ask SimulatorTrain if he would let you reskin one of his N&W F7's; and if so, just simply substitute "WABASH" for "NORFOLK AND WESTERN", and of course giving credit where credit is due.

I was able to fix the spot up by the cab windows tonight!! :D

I also added the white strips to the back side door and lettered her! I'm getting there.

Bumpy

Sorry for a day bump, lol.
I just like the idea of people bringing Wabash into trainz, I'm trying to reskin a protrainz P42 (Digital Roundhouse actully) into Wabash paint.:p

EDIT: Pork and Pigs, Tony.

I agree. I think that smaller midwestern roads like the Wabash, Alton/Gulf Mobile & Ohio, Chicago & Eastern Illinois, Chicago Great Western, Monon, Minneapolis & St. Louis, Soo Line, etc is under represented in Trainz. I see a lot of Midwest-themed assets on the DLS and through third-party suppliers decorated for the likes of Burlington, Chicago & North Western, Milwaukee Road, and Illinois Central. I think that its because these roads had fleets of flashy passenger trains (400's, Zephyrs, Hiawathas, Panama Limited/City of New Orleans). I applaud WAB1189 for bringing this small, yet powerful road into the world of Trainz.

Thank you thartman! :D

I pretty much finished the Wabash blue gary and white scheme F unit last night. All but one tiny little strip on the cab I'm trying to locate. Tonight I will try to finish up the macthing B unit and I will post some pics.

Don't forget the Katy:D

Alrighty here is where I am. Still need to locate that strip next to the cab window on 1189 and it is looking like my number fonts on the B units need to be alittle bigger.

Off to spend some time with the wife before she disowns me. :D

:) Congrats Jason! You nailed the image of the F-units owned by the Wabash Railroad exactly! This is the beginning of a new era in Trainz, the Wabash Railroad era is here! Can the railfans say AMEN!

RAILFANS: AMEN!!!

The people have spoken, and as for myself I can't wait for your next piece of Wabash Railroad equipment for Trainz!

That strip next to the cab is made of Unobtanium.

It was an error when the model was produced, so don't drive yourself nuts trying to get rid of it.

Thanks! :)

Maybe I can go to the core and get some of that unobtanium and fix it? :D

Oh man I have put some hours in trying to find that spot! lol I think it has already drove me nuts. lol Oh

Crap I just noticed the grills don't match! I guess I can add that to the list to fix now. lol

OK ... I'm up for it ... Reskin everything Wabash ... including a DDA40X, U50, Baldwin Centipedes, like the Wabash still existed into today ... just like my PRR exists to today !:cool:In my mind
