Hello!
I come to you all to present a new project I started some days ago. My idea is to build the southeast Brazilian RFFSA net for Trainz 12. The RFFSA acronym stands for Rede Ferroviária Federal Sociedade Anônima (Federal Railroad Network, Inc. in Portuguese) and it is a project for combining the previous railroad networks that connected most of the main cities in Brazil in the 60's and 70's. The network existed for around 50 years, until failing and being dismantled in the late 90's, early 2000's.
Not even half of the original project was built, and most of the 3′ ft. 3⅜″ in. gauge tracks that were built are abandoned today. The great part of them are single tracks and made with wood ties, so with the sun and rain erosion, they are unusable today.
Since I started playing train games I always wanted to play on this network, because it is present in my city and because it represented a huge ideal of development for Brazil in the past. Unfortunately due to bad management it failed and there is a lot of companies from in and outside Brazil that acted as guarantor for it's project and that are now in prejudice (on the legal meaning).
I also want to make this because of the lack of South American stuff for the game.
Soooo... Here is the project I want to build. I know it is insanely HUGE but I will do it slowly and calmly
Firstly I will build the left top arm (Close to Brasilia), then I will start going town until getting to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
I also want to make the locomotives used in it, but this will be in the future (I still have to learn to modify the Trainz .cdp files). Below I will show some locomotives:
(General Motors EMD G8)
(General Electric U6B)
So, if anyone is interested in helping me, it would be greatly welcomed. I also accept tips and stuff to make my project.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
