I am interested in modeling the Historic Middlesex Canal and the rail system that was part of it's short history.
The Middlesex Canal played a major role in the growth in this part of New England.
It's ironic that it's most significant role also resulted in it's obsolescence.
That role was to move people and equipment to construct a rail line parallel to itself.
I would like to recreate this canal and the rails history using trainz.

Here's my problem. I need a way to scale and model an area from Boston to Lowell Massachusetts and the towns in between.
I don't have the program needed to get what I see on Google Earth to trainz.
I have looked through the forums but the I think the programs I've read about would be somewhat over my head.
I am looking for someone who can help with this.
Free with credits recognition would be nice but I am willing to pay if it doesn't hurt too much.
