VMD k5b and ps4 reskin permission

I was wondering if it is possible to reskin two of these great steam engines but I am worried about the copyrights,I was seeing a few cases of infringement had angered the original creator,I want to avoid that situation by asking for permission before doing it!

Sorry but the answer is no. Reason being: They are payware and to release reskins of them is breaking the liscence. You must read it first before you release or think of releasing them. You may keep them as personal, but not distribute them.

I think you may however release the texture/art/TGA files(with permssion), then from there people could use those to reskin their engines if they wish. That way you are not distributing any of the loco/tender files, just the texture/art/TGA files.
