Vista and Trainz Objectz

I have a new IBM laptop which unfortunately has Vista.
I have got TRS2004 working quite well.
I have not been able to get Trainz Objectz to work, used compatability mode, run as administrator etc.
Any suggestions?

BTW I have 2004 and Vista and TO works OK for me, almost
the only thing it won't do is open the object folder.

OOOH do you mean the object folder in TO:hehe: if you do then whats the point in using TO in Vista

TrainzObjects seems to work ok for me in Vista. Not had a problem with it yet.

Interesting! TO just gets to the small opening screen & won't do anything else.
Think it might the the PC. TS2009 just locked up the PC.
I don't like Vista

what I meant was, in TO you can click a button in the top menu to open the config file of an asset, you can also open the assets folder to see all the files, eg read me files and such.

in Vista TO will open the config file OK but not the assets folder, it just goes to My Computer.

I have exactly the same experience as cathouse describes. I also still stay with 2004 (bought 2006, but after one week of confusion put it back in the box), have the tears (!) with Vista - and can not directly open the asset folder.
BUT (and that was rainmasters question): The rest of TrainzObjectz works fine for me.
Sorry: No help for rainmaster how to change his problem. But it is possible to operate TrainzObjectz with Vista and 2004.
