I notice that the Download Station Content is growing at a brisk pace, up to 137988 items as I write this. Is there anyway to view items that have been recently added, e.g., by todays date or for some specified period of time like the last week or from a given date to a given date?

There's no specific search tool on the website for a date, however they are listed from most recent to oldest, and as such you can look for the newest items this way. To list ALL assets, simply do a blank search with the 'versions' that you want to search for ticked.
Using CM2, you should be able to search by kuid number, and again have them list by date. However, CM2 is still having some trouble with updating the DLS properly, and as such you may still want to use the website based DLS.

I've had a similar problem with CM2 not being able to view new content. This started when I installed SP2. Everthing else runs perfectly with SP2 except the last new content I can see in CM2 is dated 19 Aug 09, the day I upgraded to SP2.
Priot to that date, Content Manager was showing new additions when sorted by installation time.

The easy way to view kuids before you download them is to visit the download station via Auran.com. If you tick the versions you want (eg. 2009, 2006, 2004, etc)and leave the rest as it stands, click on search and you will get all the kuids from the present day backwards. Click on details and provided that the creator has provided a picture you will be able to see the kuid before downloading. You can also download directly and you are given the opportunity to save a kuid before opening it CMP. I find that making a backup file of what you dowload helps when all else fails.

How do you install KUID's into program
I have downloaded some layouts in a temp folder on my computer, litttle green figures with Kuids showing, but when I click on them I get an error message "content dispatcher" "could not be read as the file is not a valid CDP", I click on Okay then get message "unable to find username in tag message". I then click oaky again and get a long message about it not being an official download but probably downloaded from a non Auran site but probably okay, I click okay again then get an empty red content dispatcher frame. So after this longwinded explanation, can you tell me how I can get these downloaded layouts into my program please.
For information I am using a newish laptop with windows XP ie8 and latest updates, Trainz Ultimate collection 2 cd setand I live in the UK, I also have Avast anti virus.
Any and all help needed as I am a novice user who has recently installed this simulation purchased from the Internet
