Verticle Walls

I want to cut a path through a small hill with vertical walls in the rock just a little wider then the track so a train will closely fit through it but I'm not sure how to make the verticals walls? When I use the topology tool it pushes back way more land then I want at the smallest diameter setting.

Try using cliff splines for a natural look or wall splines for the constructed type.

VicTrainz (kuid:1854) has a pack of 27 cliffs (1854:15001-15027) on the DLS.

There are several other types which can be found under various names, e.g. retaining wall.

Yeah, that's the only way without making a custom model. The only hard part is either ending the wall or matching the "grass" with a ground texture on the top.

I did this once and I used a "Retaining wall" which had a top like an upsidedown L and then another one that had not "ground" at the top, just the vertical wall to "cap" the end.

Actually, splines are not the only way to get a good vertical wall; one can make the cut as a scenery structure item in one's favorite 3D modeling program.

That's true, I was assuming "from within the game". I amended my previous reply.

Take a look at these assets:

Ditch ramp standard n-s,<kuid:645812:5001>
Ditch base 400m n-s,<kuid:645812:5002>
Ditch ramp Galder junction viaducts,<kuid:645812:5003>

Now I can guess already that these are not exactly what you are looking for, so look at them from a technical point of view; these things can be made.

If this technically fits your need, you are not in a rush (since I am pretty busy for my work at the moment), can supply me with texture files (aka "image of surface of the wall") and some measurements, I could make you something like these.
Note in advance: The asset needs to be 10m wide (or X times 10m) for this to work and need to be placed North-South or East-West.
