VE:65 error, HELP!

I have a LOT of faulty assets that I can attribute to the error VE:65, Nothing I have found has helped me. I am not good at fixing assets, so can someone give me a way to fix these pesky assets in a not hard way?

VE 65 : "The texture.txt is missing for texture resource"
A required texture file could not be found. The required file is likely named texture resource.texture.txt.
The texture file may be missing, the name may be misspelt, or the file may be invalid. This error can occur when a .texture file that has been created for an earlier version of Trainz is used instead of a texture.txt/image file combination.

I read the article, but I am still confused.

Some context is needed here ...
The errors appeared suddenly?
What version of Trainz are you running?
Is this the only error or warning ?
Where did the problematic Assets come from?
Have you edited those files?
There could be more than one cause.

They did appear suddenly
I am running trs22 platinum build 126295 (the newest version)
Yes, mostly, there are some assets that have other issues though
From multiple 3rd party sites and some are from the DLS
No, I have not edited them

If they worked fine before, and you haven't edited anything, it's more likely related to the latest update a few days ago, many people have experienced some weird things (not my case, fortunately).
I would tell you to wait a bit, to see what people say about it in the next few days.
I would also suggest doing a Rebuild Database , if you haven't already.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Maybe post an example KUID? I am wondering if it is an older asset that has .texture files. In that case you need PevSofts Images2TGA utility to create a .tga file and a texture.txt file. Also curious if these items were built-in? Sometimes built-in assets get away with things that uploaded assets don't until a DBR comes along and marks them faulty.

Here is an example: <kuid2:23299:24046:1>

<kuid2:23299:24046:1> Butoir,
downloaded from the DLS and installed in Trainz 2022 PE, has no errors and can be used. It only has warnings, as it is an old object build 1.5.

I have it as packaged from EMCL, but yes, that is one that wants the .texture file converted to .tga and .texture.txt. I don't know if just opening for edit and then reverting to original will work? Again, the built-in and packaged stuff usually gets away with things that DLS stuff doesn't.

Highlight all the faulty assets, right-click and choose Revert to Original.

Run a database repair if this doesn't work.

Keep in mind too that there have been some updates to the DLC and built-in content. Ensure you update any DLC via the Content Store.
