Valley Railroad(Essex Steam Train)

and I bet she will look good too, since she will be the only J-1a class 2-8-2 on the railroad that the railroad owns and also from the Kane and knoxville RR HB&T #38 also a 2-8-0 was involved in that destructive fire and her cab had a wood interior but she is a Baldwin built engine that almost resembles the #40!

I've ridden/driven both #97 and the diesel dinner trains (my avatar used to show me in the cab of #97). This is one sweet line and has all sorts of interesting scenery to model. One of the engineers (George) is an old Navy buddy from the 60's. Ask him about spy ships.

Nice to know someone has been here as well. I assume you did your hand on the throttle in 97? and ridden the dinner train? The line is hard to replicate seeing as how the land is just so variable for mile to mile, I have tried to make a DEM of the route so I would have proper grades, but every time they never came out correctly and had hills/mountains where there were none etc. So I just had to make it "flat" until I get charts from the RR so I can add the grades in.
Are sure George is the real name of the engineer? I don't know of any George that works there(maybe it is his nick name? or has retired before my coming?)

Hey, that's an old VH Holden Commodore! We used to have one of those! What's it doing in Connecticut?:o
You would be surprised what you will find in Connecticut as one of the richest states in the U.S.

Quite right. The Valley railroad was looking at buying that locomotive instead of 3025, but decided on 3025 instead.
The Valley Railroad also owned 3025s sister locomotive for a little while, but sold it to another railroad.

so when?

So when do you think we can get this route to use?
It looks so cool and I've gone there because I live in Conneticut!
