V/Line N Class - smokeless?

The V/line N Class locos available on the DLS do not have any smoke containers in the config.txt and there are no attachment point(s) for smoke in the asset file - so I went onto YouTube to watch a video or two of these beasts operating to get some clue as to where the attachment point(s) should be and the volume of smoke generated (intending to add appropriate diesel smoke output).

Well, I found quite number of YouTube videos of N class locomotives both light and in heavy haul and, what do you know, no smoke!

It seems that by using these locos you can earn a Carbon Tax rebate .

Can anyone out there confirm (or otherwise) that Australian N Class locos are actually 'smoke free'.

I like my diesels and steamers to smoke heavily. Perhaps in the config file there is a numeral that you can manipulate, or change the engine specs ?
