Utility required!

Being a noob and not knowing where to look is there a utility that displays distance to next station/next signal colour/speed limit etc.?

Any help or pointers would be gratefully received.

I think the answer probably depends on which version of Trainz you have.

TRS2004 SP4 has a built-in custom HUD (head-up display) which shows some of this information. It can be set for a Driver session in Surveyor, as follows: Edit Session Rules > Add > Display Custom HUD > Click the OK tick
Left click once on "Display Custom HUD" so as to select it > Edit > Select the "Show the custom heads up display" option > Click the OK tick
Click the OK tick to exit "Edit Session Rules"
I don't know if later versions of Trainz have this facility.

All modern Razorback Railway activities display the information you list (which proves it can be done). However, RBR activities can only be used with TRS2004 SP4 or TRS2006 (not TC or TRS2006) and the functionality within them that displays the information cannot be converted over to non-RBR activities, although with sufficient programming skill it could be duplicated.

There may well be some user-created rules available on DLS which do what you want, in which case someone else will almost certainly post here with details.

mc Display Custom HUD,<kuid:41009:1023> I think was written for TRS2004 and TRS2006 and is builtin TS2009. It displays:
distance to next speed board and speed limit
next signal condition
distance and status of next turnout
current % grade
odometer reading
