I just got Trainz 2004, 2006, and UTC :) the one I have installed right now is UTC it runs great (I had to limit the fps to keep it from getting hot really fast) but when I exit the game there is a process funning only after I play UTC that uses 50% - 100% of the CPU which keeps it fairly hot even after it isn't running (I dont want to close the process since it says it is a microsoft windows process) I don't remember what the process was it looked as if it was something about a dll file does anyone else have the same thing it is kind of annoying to have to restart it to keep it from getting hot (it does get really hot at times and I don't want it to overheat).

the computer specs are

Windows 7 64 bit
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 AMD Phenom II P650 Dual-Core 2.60 GHz
4 GB RAM

If you could tell us what the process is, we could tell you whether it can be terminated or not. Not all of Microsoft's processes are critical for system operation. This process may not even be related to running UTC, and could very well be something else such as a virus, or perhaps your antivirus software.

Have your PC cleaned, and possibly have a PC Tech apply Arctic Silver Heat Sink compound. Keep your vents vaccuumed out daily, and use a Chill Pad, as sitting a laptop on a desk, or a lap, the vents are restricted of cooling air flow. You can place (or use hot glue, or epoxy) plastic bottle caps under your laptop feet to allow more air flow.

I think Trainz brings It up since that is the only time it comes up, and the computer has no viruses so that is not it. The game was made for old versions of windows so that may be part of it (part of the heat is since I was in a hot room but it is that the cpu usage stays fairly high after I am done).

EDIT: I just tried it in windowed mode and now It doesn't keep the CPU usage up after I am done:)
