USA Pics

I have had these new toys for 4 days now... I have just been to busy moving things from 10 to 12 that I have not had time to take shots of them....

Hallo,

looks like you moved my Milwaukee Road Avery – Drexel route. :) :)

I will make an update for this route to meet the latest standards as there are better ground textures, the use of seasonal content only (not just ground texture and speed trees).
So people can operate trains through a summer or a full snowy route just like they want to.
This also needs updates for the locomotives and the cars.

Just in case you wanted to change the Little Joe and the Boxcab-Electric over from TS2010 into TS12 – it will probably not work.
That’s because I still used the dummy bogey technique for the trailing bogeys which became obsolete within TC3.
But I created the main part of this locos in TRS2006 times and I unfortunately missed the information about the much better TC3-solution of handling the trailing bogeys.
Anyway – the TRS2006 dummy bogey technique does not work in TS12 anymore. But I also will improve the locos by using the TC3 trailing bogey solution.

For the time being enjoy the route from TS2010. I also had a lot to do getting the route into TS12.
You considered Avery – Drexel to be worthy enough to spend all the work into the changeover.
I take this as a compliment. Thank you!

Not a problem, I really like the route... you did a great job!

pardon my ignorance (and I hope this doesn't come off as condesending or anything other than idle curiosity) but I was wondering; is the location here supposed to be Gallitzin?

yeah its not done yet tho

I wondered: I knew it was somewhere on the old Pittsburgh Division (that's the name right?) between Altoona-Horseshoe Curve and Johnstown, and the unused bore seemed to clinch it. It looks good so far, though, my friend!

(To those die-hard Pennsy fans: forgive me if I got the names and locations wrong. I'm too lazy to go get the Trains Magazine issue that has the map of all this to see if it's right or not :o)

Taconite derailment -the hazard of using cars from the 1930's - I hope to have these scenery models up on my site soon. No lod as I imagine you will place just a few.

I wondered that too...especially since I blundered into the sale RRMods was having on their cabeese. Curse my shiny object syndrome/impulse buying! Now I don't have enough cash for the ore cars! Aaaarrgh! :'(:hehe::o

Not sure what you mean by normal?? You mean a generic car with no livery?? With DMIR hoses?? Low single hose?? With or without extensions?? but what options do you guys want?? I would be willing to manufacture a single free model with a couple of weathering options but it won't be prototypical?? Probably a late version of a low-sided car??

I did include what I termed generic cars (no DMIR livery) for the DMIR service pack - something like that??

yeah, I was thinking something along the same: generic, no road name (probably with numbering though...that'd look wierd  ) something that wouldn't look as out of place on anything other than home rails than a specific car with DM&IR everything on it. I'd say low sides, couple different weathering options, and maybe (big, BIG, maybe...depends on how much time you'd like to spend on this thing) one that's slightly dinged up ('cause when's the last time you've seen an immaculate ore car with perfectly straight sides? :o )
