USA Pics

Oh, BTW, this one has a lot of brother and sisters, RS32s, rs11s, etc. All with the SP light packages.

THAT'S THE TICKET!!! :D :udrool: :udrool:

(Okay, that this point, I may have to reconsider the whole bowing down thing! May I ask if there's a D&H RS-36 somewhere in the pipeline?)

I know I have a RS32, I think there is a 36 in there too.

Basically I am going to be at this for months.

Alright, had to ask. And on behalf of every ALCo fan out there, thank you so much!

(Now I just need the cars for the Rip Van Winkle Flyer!!)

Thanks n8, for the comment and help with the horn textures. I think I finally have these about right now. The little stuff makes a big difference. :)

May I ask where you got those good-looking crossing signals? :) They look like they might be by BNSF50, but I do not see any new signals by him on the DLS.

I also like the looks of those crossing platforms. They match the AASHTO road pavement texture nicely. :D

They are, and they aren't. I repainted them to match crossings in my area, they are personal reskins and not going on the DLS, or anywhere else, for that matter, unless I get Clem's permission. I haven't asked yet. The crossing platforms are by Ryanstrains and are here: http://saxrt.freeforums.org/crossing-plates-t118.html May not work in versions other than 12 unless you change the build number, but that's a simple fix.
You need to register on the forums to download.

Thanks for the response.

Actually, I didn't need to register to get the crossing plates. I just clicked the link in Ryan's original post in that thread below his screenshot and got the CDP.

One thing about those crossing plates is that they use gigantic 4096 x 4096-pixel texture maps in BMP format for the crossing plate, each having a file size of around 64 or 65 MB, with most of the contents of those maps being blank black space, shooting the asset's size to insanely huge sizes such as around 80 MB for one and 140 MB for the other. They caused CM, etc., to send my RAM usage to 99% when committing those assets I believe. I opened those maps in IrfanView and resaved them in JPG format with the quality level at 100%; the JPG images have a much, much more sane file size of around 1.08 to 1.56 MB each. The crossing platforms do look great in Trainz; thanks Ryan! :)

Great work reskinning those BNSF50 crossing signals. They are good enough to pass as new crossing signal models. :)

Glad to help! I like the plates, too. And thanks for the tip, I'll convert the textures to .jpg as well.
