Midwest Rail (Newbie Route)

Ok here goes...I'm very new to this game so bear with me.

This is my first route (that I haven't given up on! :hehe: ) I've always loved railroading in the midwest, mostly because of the amount of variety present with several major railroads intersecting (CN, NS, CSX, BNSF, UP, just to name a few), so what I'm working on is a fictional "somewhere in the Midwest" route that will encompass many elements of this region.

Still tons of work to do, its only a few baseboards right now, but as this is my first true effort I kind of wanted to see what people thought, maybe pick up some pointers for the future

One area I'm trying to replicate is the Michigan City IN region of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad, I love this area. Still haven't had any luck finding the actual MUs used on that route though, if anyone knows where I can find them feel free to let me know!

One great thing about doing a fictional route is the ability to use whatever motive power on whatever assignment you choose :) For example, an Ann Arbor RR E8 on commuter service. Wish I knew how to take video so you could here the AWESOME sounding Nathan M5 on this beast!

CN Power taking some containers past town.

Pretty much all I've got for now. Let me know what you think. Be gentle...I'm learning

At sullivjs, looks good to me, more likely you could give me pointers than the other way around. Only flaw I see, whoever skinned that South Shore car should be informed the name of that railroad is "Chicago South Shore & South Bend", not "Chicago South Shore & The South Bend". :hehe:

Not bad.....Now we just need some RS27's and some C424's to go with them

Where did ya swoop them up from

@Kon1786 - That isnt East Brownsville PA, its a loosely based route of 1960s Chicago area i am working on.

@sullivjs - I got the E7 from someone while back, they were made by landrvr1 i believe his name is. Also, the PRR f units came from http://mgtrainz.blogspot.com/

@norfolksouthern37 - Thank you for the kind words!
