USA Pics

Thanks, While I have no problem with payware which I do buy stuff from the payware companies (RRmods and JointedRail), But CloakedGhost275 must be crazy if he thinks alot of people will pay $35 for a locomotive.

Well, to be fair I think he seems fairly down to earth with the fact that there probably won't be many people. As it is his own small operation that I'm sure is just a few extra dollars on the side, he probably doesn't have much reason not to charge that much.
I'm not saying I agree with it, just that I can see where he is coming from and also don't blame him for it. And, JR will be putting theirs out soon anyway.!

Well, That is your opinion and you have every right to your own opinion just like everyone else, But what I see is this guy trying to rip off the community. When you charge 3 times more than what your average payware locomotive cost. I will call you out on it and I have no problem doing so either. Anyways, I am looking foward to the release by jointedrail.

 You don't have the right to publicly call anyone out on a private forum owned by a business.

Let alone the fact of this being the USA Pics thread.

Focus your complaining on a Personal Message to the individual...prices go up!

Any problem you have with that, PM me...don't whine here.

Yeah don't worry bout old Al, He just want's to be a Mod when he grow's up so he is getting in sum practice.
Cheers Mick.:hehe:

Can you please PM me the name of the platforms as well??

Jamie
Platform Low 4, made by me. They were available while PassTrainz was up, I haven't gotten around to re-uploading them to AMTZ.

Now about prices. $35 is actually fairly cheap for 3D models; however here in the Virtual Trains World we've been fortunate to have really low prices for payware models. If I were to charge the going rate for an entry-level graphic designer (with a Bachlers Degree) for a reskin of mine of an engine. They would cost about $50 for one skin, more if I do a custom cab reskin, and even more if I do custom truck reskins as well.

Well part of me certainly wants to continue the pricing discussion, at this point (and yes, I realize I posted about it earlier) I think this thread is a bad place to discuss this. I'm certainly not criticizing anyone who has posted (that would be plain out hypocritical), but rather I'm just pointing out that continued posting on this topic within this thread could lead to the closure of something that has managed to last an entire 650+ pages, with over 13000 individual posts (and, of course it's managed to be here since before Trainz was even released! :p). So please just keep that in mind-I certainly don't want to see such an iconic (along with a few other huge Screenshot threads) thread closed!

Just to keep on topic:

An Amtrak train, lead by a borrowed MBTA F40PH (I was trying out my JR purchase, for the record), speeds by a KCS freight, led by a shiny new ES44.

I can agree with what you stated right there......

Heh, I would bet that if this USA Pics thread was closed, then it would be very likely that a new USA Pics thread would be started by someone soon after. ;)

Besides, if the moderators end up feeling that the off-topic discussion on CloakedGhost's price for that locomotive is inappropriate, they may choose to simply delete those posts out of this thread, rather than close it. Considering that this thread has been around since late 2006, I would not be surprised if this has been done in this thread before. ;)

Anyway, time to get back on topic.

Regards,

Retro.

I recognize some of the stuff in these picks as rrmods, but where are the box-flat combine car, and that black car from the last pic from?

Looks good,

cheers:wave:

the Flatbox is on the DLS and some of the rest of it was made for my own person use .there are some things in this train i guess i could give our if requested ;)

I quite agree Retro, if folks stopped using this thread as if they were on Facebook, then the moderators wouldn't have any reason to close it.

Let's have some more screenies on this thread.......:p

With SPorBUST opening the doors to his website again, well done Frank :mop: , here are his UP C44-9W and Jean's reskinned 3Bay CEI cement hopper.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.
