OT - again!

Did you put your 'Paducah & Louisville' route on the back burner or cancel it, the few screen shots I saw looked like it could be another master piece like EK3 is.

Currently on the back burner, probably pending cancellation. The blank DEM is available and I don't generally do that if I mean to finish something. It would make a FANTASTIC Trainz route legitimately running unit trains from all Class 1 roads plus a very attractive regional. The problem is I just can't come to terms with SpeedTrees and I don't feel like undertaking a project of this size - it is huge - to run ONLY in TS10SP3 Comp Mode.

If it comes to light (and don't lay any bets!) it will probably be done as a series of small layouts linked by portal. Maybe...

Thanks H222 & milelj001 for the quick response. I already had the track but I didn't know how good it was, hadn't used it anywhere. One more question for mikelj001, in post #13081 you have some ballast along with that track that matches very well. Please, the kuid of that ballast. Thanks again.

Pretty sure it comes in the track pack, should come up already in surveyor if u put in the filter "JR"

Sorry, I know this is a screen shot section and I will post some shortly but that ballast texture is not included with the track. Would someone point me in the correct direction. Thanks again.

Mikelj001- what texture did you use around that track in that screenshot. It looks to match very well. And now some screenshots.

Route - County Shortline, which is on the dls but since I've uploaded it I've changed all the trees using PoFig's. Makes a big difference.

Still learning.

How do you get the pictures to appear larger without having to click on them? I've forgotten. Thanks.

OK, in this post we see mostly all Conny and Sporbust stuff working in TS12 (I'm good at backdating/updating).

First off, we have an unlikely roster of equipment in this roundhouse. From left to right: Amtrak AEM-7, MARC AEM-7, Amtrak HHP-8, MARC HHP-8, My Amtrak FL9, and JointedRail's Amtrak F40PH.

trainut201108180001.jpg

Here we see a CNW SD70ACe backing to Wilmington to rescue a stranded Northeast Regional.

trainut201108180002.jpg

The stranded regional, with an HHP-8 on the point waits as the SD70ACe rounds the curve in front of it.

trainut201108180003.jpg

The UP heritage unit slowly backs onto the regional.

trainut201108180004.jpg

Coupled! The couplers bang as the SD70ACe makes contact with the broken-down HHP-8.

trainut201108180005.jpg

The massive EMD throttles out of Wilmington with the regional in tow. A MARC train consisting of a MARC AEM-7, two MARC single-level cars, and a MARC bi-level sits in the background.

trainut201108180006.jpg

The regional throttles out of Wilmington, quickly gaining speed.

trainut201108180007.jpg

Moving quickly now, the regional zips across the screen.

trainut201108180008.jpg

The power recedes into the distance as the Amfleets whizz by.

trainut201108180010.jpg

The rest of the train whizzes past, on its way to Philadelphia.

No, I'm not sending anyone the content.

I finally found some ballast that closely matches that track. It's named RRS Ballast Texture brown and the kuid is: 211147:21001. Enjoy.
