USA Pics

Sometime in the 1950s, the Norfolk & Western Railway crack passenger train, The Powhatan Arrow, paused briefly on the mainline near Parrott, Virginia to pose for an official company photograph.

The scene recreated, at the same spot along New River on the Appalachian Coal route, using Ben Neal's model of the N&W Class J #600 and the N&W passenger cars included in TRS12.

*Unfortunately, I couldn't recreate the exact angle of the shot because the camera refused to go any lower, because of the height of the surrounding terrain. :o

Very good only thing missing is the second piece of track. Other than that very nice is amazing how trainz 12 makes it look so real it unbelievable.

Missing 2 tracks but anyways.

-Looks like your missing a couple tracks but cool re-creation shot!

Yes, the real N&W had double-track mainline during the 50s, but unfortunately the Appalachian Coal route drops down to single-track in places. Oh well -- nothing that can't be fixed someday in Surveyor. :>

When you do post your picture update here.

I always loved that BN livery for some reason. Sad that I never saw one in real life.

Scratchy - Thanks for the PM about letting me know about that small route of yours.

D&RGW... Home of Fast Freights

It's 1945 and the D&RGW have started employing diesel locomotives on it's heaviest of trains. Here we see 5 SD's on their first run from the EMD shops, bound for Denver...

The 'Replace Asset' tool is a wonderful thing ain't it?:hehe:
Expect these units probably within the next few weeks. Will include reskinned cab.

Cheers

Scratchy - I just noticed that you are running the 2009 version of Trainz. That is simply amazing detail for a older version. Do you mind if I ask you what kind of video card you are using for your PC?

BTW, My PC specs are in my signature and if I can even get that close of detail when I get my copy of Trainz 2010 in the next few days. I will be a very happy camper.

Just curious...Are those BN units freeware or payware?

I got them from my brain, creativity & graphics program. In other words, they are personal reskins for the time being.
