You know, ever since I started railfanning with my dad, I always waited for that moment when the train was done with his set off or pickup, had the "okay" from the dispatcher, and the signal changed to a highball. I'll never forget those such occasions when the engineer cranked those engines on, right up to 8 to get back to the yard. Sometimes they'd be outside town, and you'd hear as they go by and head out, laying on the horn saying, "get off the track, we're headed home"! I cherish those memories nothing can come close to recreating. Here is something I thought was similar to.

This evening, KH25 just made their pickup at Union County Interchange, and came back on to the main to get their train. With the train coupled, the air charged, highball set, those macs couldn't pound the rail hard enough to get going. As they head out of town, we see them passing MP. 145 heading north. About an hour later, they'll arrive in Newberry Yard to cut off the power and head home for a few hours of sleep, only to do the same thing tomorrow.

I think he just used the "adjust spline height" tool to raise the ground to the elevated track spline. throw in some clever texturing and shoot from a low angle, and you get that beautiful shot as a result! :D :D

(I will admit, that looks like it's real to me...You sure that's not a railfan shot you took?:hehe:)

ct krogen: Thank you for the comment..I worked real hard on how to do it and I keep trying to remember Bob Ross saying Happy Little accidents..

Wow kimo, it looks very real. Where do you get the elevated track???

Greetings

Thank you. All I did was raise the track a little and carefully lowered the ground as close to the track as possible.
