Woops didn't see your comment there! I thought about painting a NH logo on the tender. But I am going to wait until the proper tender for this locomotive is downloaded...Seems as though CMP threw another hissy fit.

McGinnis on the entire locomotive and tender...YIKES I would run away.

Caught an empty tac train returning to the Thunderbird Mine on the MJ Sub. This is a great area to shoot from. This is right out of Hibbing yard past Mudd Jct. Its a 2.1% grade for the first 10 miles. Its a 20mph speed restriction through Mudd Jct so as soon as they hit the grade its notch 8 to the top while they try to get to track speed once MJ is cleared.. The DMIR is a wrong way runner just like the CNW.

Woot for the Empire Builder! I was able to ride from Chicago to St. Paul this last Fall and what a blast that was. Thanks for posting!

Cheers!

Here's an entry from Lars superb Ida Terminal route:

A BNSF intermodal powered by BNSF #5729 and two leased EMD SD-60s #1, and #2, power along the Ida Terminal main line.

As evening falls, the rain picks up as BNSF ES44AC #5729 leads the intermodal along the Ida Terminal main line.

This route sure makes me feel like I'm in Milwaukee.....Today we catch a switch local making its way to some near by industries

First we catch him passing a scrap yard

Then we catch him by a siding that has a signal that is about to fall over, but soon to be taken out

We then pulled up to the crossing and for some reason the gates were not coming down, we were about to let the crew know about them, but as soon as the train pulled up, the conductor got out and waved the train across the tracks

Last 2 shots we catch him heading out to the industrial park

All for now

WCL, where can I find that rusty unnamed switcher in your photos?

I am not sure on where I got it from.....I can see if I can email it to you or something if ya want :D

^ Its a MILW "bandit" MP15

And WCL, why is the MP15 higher than the GP9? :p

I don't know....I didnt make any of them...So I could not tell ya why its like that....I just put the 2 together and thats what I got......
