one night me and my buddies decided to camp out on the old grade of the D&RG, because we heard it was haunted by the Ghost of a locomotive that killed 12 Railroaders. Dread 107 was her nickname, and when it was scrapped, they said it released her spirit so now she haunts the Lines she ran. But anyway... we were camping when we heard a steam whistle, and before our eyes, Dread 107 appeared to our wonder and horror.

Well today I learned a lesson of what crowds at school I should hang around. I was finishing up a bio paper and left a little later. I was walking down the hall when these shady-lookin folks came slowly out of a corner. "Hey man, you wan try somma of this stuff?" Being me, I really don't care about side-effects or consequences, so I didn't hesitate. I was bored pretty much all week so I thought "what the hell could go wrong?"

I usually railfan after school and it didn't kick in until saw the last of this westbound stack train slowing down at the MCTA station for an eastbound CP 235 (General Frieght) at MP 0.50.

The year is 2025, and a Tampa-bound high-speed train darts under the Kathleen Road I-4 Interchange near Lakeland, Florida. Since it's construction back in 2011, the first of several phases to construct a high-speed rail line in Florida was finally finished back in 2014. Most of the line runs in the central median of I-4 and the Greenway except in Downtown Tampa and Orlando Airport. Construction on the second phase from Orlando Airport's South terminal to Miami Central station is fully underway. In future, there are plans to expand to Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Pensacola, the Gulf Coast, the Eastern Seaboard, and beyond. The rail operating franchise has expired, and is back up for bid. Each rail company can bid a single line for two consecutive terms. Companies are chosen for their flexibility, service, prices, and other amenities.... okay, anyways, nuff talking:

Since the construction of the line, the Kathleen Rd. Interchange has undergone a transformation. The overpass was renovated, I-4 was repaved, a Walmart was constructed on the Southwestern corner of the interchange, as well as a Doubletree complex on the Southeastern corner of the interchange. There's still forestry around the Northern portion of the interchange, which is subject to change.
