USA Pics

Gandloff,

The route is excellent, one thing if ya don't mind my saying; Gfisher has some great joint bars that are specifically meant for the 132lb track. They are on the USLW website. Great route, love the secenery and that 3rd pick!

Yup I know he has them..the joint bars were left over from the old tracks...I have yet to change them out, since I have been having an issue with the ATLS stuff at the moment. Thanks for telling me though!

I just wanted to give some thanks to mcguirel for making the Model Railroader IV layout. My favorite layout in trainz ever. Thanks for making it easy to find all the assets and stuff... pics up soon.

Not a Screenshot; just an observation...

I hate LOD.
I've been giving the critical eye to screenshots lately, and have reached the conclusion that content is the most important factor towards realism. Those who post with locomotives made by Justin, or RR Mods, or Shane give themselves a better chance of a realistic shot. Even better when the rolling stock is just as attractive, but when I see one of the older engines pulling older cars the effect is jarring. I also despise seeing the newer engines pulling LOD cars, or older cars that disappear into a foggy fuzz. Now, my eyes ain't that good any more, but I can still tell the difference.
Some of the shots above look like the viewer has cataracts, while some maintain a crisp integrity that is pleasing to the eyes.
Dermmy's shot is great, even and consistant. WCL's shot is fine, no foggy monstrosities there!
Even some shots with nicer carz are ruined by an old car from Auran!

But what I hate the most is that track that changes due to LOD, and those damn fuzzy traincars!:(

We now return to your thread already in progress...

Heritage anyone?

Here is a true heritage shot, not only does it represent BNSF, but the generations of railroading, the F7, SD40-2, and the newer SD70ACe.

With no intention to hijack this thread, is your current signature a scene from a certain movie, Euphod? I can't remember what it's about or the title, but it looks rather familiar. :)

Cheerio,
Nicholas
