Shoreline East(Warning very large pictures!)

The morning SLE train crossing the bridge into New Haven, while the back is still in East Haven. The M&J Bus depot in the background readies to empty out for school.
SLE50.jpg

Passing by M&J bus on route 80,they have begun to empty out...
SLE51.jpg

Some sign guys prepare to take down the old sign,or just change the advertisement,I can't tell which, but the engineer gives a nice friendly tap of the horn,to scare them while they have their backs turned.
SLE52.jpg

SLE rounds the bend where a P&W line come from the distance(straight) and the Amtrak Springfield line comes in the off to the left.
SLE53.jpg

Passing by milepost 2 for the springfield line.
SLE54.jpg

Flying under one of the many roads going overhead in New Haven.
SLE55.jpg

I wonder what it sounds like under the bridge when the train thunders over it.
SLE56.jpg

Taking the turn on the bridge
SLE57.jpg

Coming off the overpass, and heading into the S curve to State Street.
SLE58.jpg

Coming out of the S curve continuing to State Street.

Very beautiful. Just wondering, what is the KUID on those excavators in the first shot, along with the dig hole that is under the one on the left.

Your work is very good.

Hey Gandalf,

Which rail bridge are you using in your pictures?
I found them tucked away on the forums one day by a British fellow I beleive, and now they are on the DLS. Look under the username LieLestoSbrat,he has plenty of variations to suit your needs!:D
Thanks for the compliments.

This little four baseboard traction route was just sent off to DLS and is available now at USLW. It is a TRS2006SP1 route, not TRS2004 as indicated....my fault. Look for the Hampshire Hills Traction route. It is based on a model railroad shelf layout plan.

That looks ver nice George, Ill have to check that one out!

Mike,
Im gonna have to use those birdges for my route, Im trying to spice in some variety.

Sorry for the double post but I just uploaded some more pictures...
Crossing over to the Northbound tracks so the train can stop at State Street.
SLE60.jpg

The train rolls into State Street *Train Approaching Please Stand Behind Yellow Line*
SLE61.jpg

The train leaves and switches back over to allow room for the Northbound SLE train to slide into the station in a few minutes.
SLE62.jpg

The Cab Car finally makes it over the switch to the next track.
SLE63.jpg

Rounding the final bend before New Haven Union Station.
SLE64.jpg

The train enters the large array of switches, with the parking garage coming into view.
SLE65.jpg

The train slithers into New Haven barely noticed except for the trail of smoke left behind it.
SLE66.jpg

The train comes to a stop and lets off all the workers to rush to work. Off in the distance is the projects.
SLE67.jpg

That's all for now folks!

Thank you Gandalf for your quick reply. As many may have found, I am looking to improve my route building quality before I release stuff (freeware of course). I am looking to finish/upgrade a fictional CSX route that can be appreciated by everyone hopefully.

Hey Mike,
I meant to ask earlier but these screens reminded me. Are your switches alittle too tight? I mean maybe they just have low speed limits and its possible but Im just thinking it doesn't look right. Correct me if Im wrong though.

Davis

You know, Galdalf, I admire your ingenuity, but those signal bridges of mine that you are using as catenary bridges are 8324 polys apiece and I am counting more that ten in some of those shots. Hopefully you can replace them with a lower poly NH type catenary bridge at some future date before your computer melts.

PS the track is 1134 polys every six feet.

Low Speed switches, they aren't intended for trains to go over them at 60mph..

Yep I know lol my computer is already melting:hehe: I know they are used as signal bridges, however they were the closest thing,to New Haven style caternary,so I just tried them out,and they seem to work for the time being. The wires also just happened to match up to them as well... I will just have to wait for nexius I beleive to finish up his:p
P.S. Can't forget your parking Garage :-P
