USA Pics

I know, I'm being picky...

 I so wish those transmission towers had a neutral conductor on top...I hate when this happens.

There would be two 3-phase 230kvA/C lines there for a total of average 560kvA/C power.

However, thanks for the pics Koondawg, you really have spent a while in detail on this route! Otherwise your fingers move really fast!

I take it you have some knowledge of a lineman. Thats cool, I'm in school for it now.

Caught two WC SW1500's doing some switching today so decided to take some pics:

Parked at the warehouse where the boxcars will be unloaded and re-loaded:

Where did you get the first WC SW1500? The one that was backwards, specifically.

No editing at all

not many know this but my primary job involves topo mapping these kind of power lines and arranging routes for new ones. i literally draw them in a cad program all day long

in order to stay on topic, here are some screenies:

A couple of shotz from a little route I've been playing with, thanks to George Fisher for his layout and Sureshot for his magnificent locomotives......

Sorry about the pop-ups, I haven't used imageshack for a while and I forgot....:hehe:

Cheerz. ex.

Them are some nice engines...Only thing I dont like about them is the dark by the trucks....It looks like a big block of black down there...If it were not for the wheels showing some of the grey it would look really bad.....But his stuff sure is nice

Dont worry Jordan...I think he just can't read :hehe: ....What you said in them 2 posts were just fine
